Hnemes
I see alot of folks using Salomon shoes to shoot outdoors in, does anyone have any recommendation for what model of shoe by Salomon or another brand?

TennJeep1618
Salomon Speedcross are very popular. Also take a look at Boombah Hellcats and many of the options from Inov-8.Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

APL-G35
Boombah shoes as well. Cheaper, wider if you need that, and have held up better than the solomans I had before.
rustychev
Speedcross 4s or the older 3s if you can find them. I love them but they do wear down fast if used for every day use. I keep them for just shooting and use something different for to and from the range.

Rieckman
I got the boombah on their clearance section, pretty reasonable like under 50 shipped. I've had the reebok trailgrip 5.0 and a pair of salomon. Pretty much any trail shoe you find that fits your foot should work very well.
grsdoug
I tried the Boombah and found them to not be equal to Salomon as far as fit and function. For me they caused extreme fatigue after a long match, and the hard tread was dangerous on wood props when wet. The softer Salomon tread grips better. Boy
Also consider Reebok Nano crossfit shoes. Comfortable, runnable, and has a lower heel than most running style shoes. I find the lower heel makes them more stable.
Kixx
I like the Speedcross 4. Fits all the way around your foot like a glove. Lightweight, tread is nice and grippy. I have also had some New Balance lightweight trail running shoes I really liked.

Whenever you're close to an REI they'll most likely have it. I think you can even check local inventory on there website. That is how I found mine. Kixx
I’m in the Midwest and my local Scheels carries them. It’s the only place I’ve found them. Edited December 9, 2018 by Kixx

Typically a wider shoe is wider from heel/ankle area to the toe box. I like a tight ankle area and wide toe box. A wide toe box allows my toes to spread out creating more contact area to push with. Ordering a half size up or size up creates dead shoe space. I like a tight shoe with a wide toe box. Think Reebok nano or Alta shoes wide toe box. Shorty4087
Just picked up a pair of Speedcross 4 wide and they fit very well for having a wide foot. My other Salomons were a standard fit and had to increase size by 1/2 to accommodate.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes, whenever possible and more specifically always for New Balance running shoes if that helps. Can’t and won’t wear Nike shoes as they’re too narrow
