MJinPA
Is it as simple as measuring overall length and making sure you’re under 141.25 mm? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
wgj3
Kinda... Just challenging to accomplish without some kind of measuring jig to denote the points that contact the length limits in the gauge...
rowdyb
I'd say it could be as simple but it's not as sure. The $38 is well spent.

The $38 is well spent.I’m sure it is but I’d hate to spend $40 on something I’d use once. I guess a better question for me to ask would be where do I measure? I checked a stock 18 round sti mag and it’s 145mm! I’m assuming that I’m not taking the measurement from the right spot. Matt1911
Measure the back at the rear of the feed lips.
Mcfoto
Most clubs that host USPSA have a gauge. I’d ask the MD at your local match if you can borrow theirs. Edited November 12, 2018 by Mcfoto
MJinPA
Measure the back at the rear of the feed lips. That makes a lot more sense. Looks like all but the one with a 4mm tti basepad should be good. Guess it’s time to watch Adams mag tuning videos. I’ll probably be at one in a couple of weeks that should have a gauge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Brooke
Get a gauge. You need to check before every important match. Penny wise pound foolish. A $40 gauge can save your match fee and travel expenses.

Silverscooby27
You’ll be the most popular guy at the match if you start bringing it, and it will get used...by someone, not necessarily you...a lot more than once. You’ll be doing a service to your competitive shooting community.
rowdyb
I've brought mine to locals and it does indeed make you a hit. Especially with the people who find they are way out of spec.
cconnection
We have a group of guys who like to shoot together, only one needs to get a gauge, and he is the popular one.
Matt1
Didn’t read the whole thread but didn’t see any suggestions for a steel ruler? This is actually how mags are meant to be measured. At least in IPSC it is.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
