V2plus25
All stock parts in both Limited Pros except for PD FP spring. I put the Titan hammer in with a new PD 15.5 hammer spring. Lo and behold I can't even rack the slide all the way back because the hammer won't go down any further. I tried this with the same result on 2 different Lim Pros and with 2 different new PD 15.5 hammer springs. Am I getting coil bind? Can I try clipping a coil or will that totally screw up the PD spring?
Mlussoro
Was the hammer relief cut ? Contact joe at PD
motherFNbrandon
does the stock hammer spring do the same thing?
V2plus25
No the stock hammer spring works fine and allows the Titan to go all the way down.
HesedTech
Any chance you installed the spring strut backwards on the hammer? If so it will probably bind the spring up. Edited November 2, 2018 by HesedTech Added diagram
V2plus25
Hah yeah that’s the very first thing I thought as well. But no it’s on there correctly. And when I put the stock hammer back in it works fine. Very weird indeed. Does clipping a coil screw up the PD hammer spring?

But the 15.5 spring works fine with the TItan I have.
johnbu
The spring pocket in the gun is too shallow (in all probabity). You can clip a coil. I cut with a diamond wheel. it will work, but will be lighter. With the unica, i needed to clip i coil. You can use a PD 14. It's shorter and should work. The EG medium or Wolff 15#,16# or 17# should also work.
V2plus25
I'm just surprised that the spring pocket is too short on both of my Lim Pros. Crazy. Thanks for the spring suggestions. I'll try some different ones and see before clipping coils.
bulm540
Had the same problem with my back up gun. Spring pocket was short and had to take 1 coil off.

That, or maybe a new running change?
