I was thinking of getting one to try and had the same question. Someone posted earlier that its legal for ESP so I believe that makes it legal for CO. (Like why the magwell is legal in IDPA CO). eboadway
I’d say an email from DRNOI is pretty conclusive.
bradthegunmaniac
I was thinking of getting one of these because I have an extended mag release. On table starts I’m having an issue with the mag release being depressed.Anyone else use one of these for that issue?
ajblack
Never had that problem. But with a loaded gun on a table start, the gun position is the same as without the thumb rest so I don't see how it would solve that problem.

Yeah, I learned that the hard way during a match The thumb rest reduces the amount of depression on the mag release, so it prevents that disaster as long as the table surface is flat (not convex). No, I did not buy the rest for that reason. It is just a good bi-product Edited November 18, 2019 by jaep1911
Canadiangunnut
Would anybody happen to know where I could purchase one of these in Canada , or a USA seller that will ship to Canada ?
fireman1776
So I picked one of these up only to find out it recommends NOT using a tungsten guide rod and a minimum 14lb spring. But that’s with “normal” loads. Does anyone have long term use running at 12 lb spring with hand loads?
echotango
Been using them for over a year with a tungsten gr and 12# spring in 3 guns. However recently switched to a 13# spring.

It requires me to use a different grip and I’m not sure the benefit is worth the reps necessary to train that in.
