Drtheo
New member here, thanks for having me. I recently picked up a witness elite match in 9mm with 45 and 22 conversions, and I have to say it is the smoothest shooting 9mm I have ever shot. I have shot a fair amount of bullseye and PPC in rimfire leagues, as well as some benchrest rifle and pistol. I have been looking into trying some action shooting such as IDPA, USPSA. I am not really sure which at this time. Any suggestions for some one new to action shooting would be appreciated.

mwc
Well depending on your experience with running around safely with a gun in your hand, you may want to start with IDPA only because the stages tend to be shorter with less movement. If that's not a concern for you, then it really doesn't matter. Pick one, read the rulebook, and good have fun!
Drtheo
I may give IDPA a try as well as USPSA there is an indoor league starting up near me, I may try it with my STI 9mm single stack. As I am yet to find a holster for my tanfoglio.
mwc
Sounds like a great idea. That gun fits easily into both shooting sports.
perttime
Start whatever is more accessible where you live. Read the rules, especially the parts that deal with safety.
tdp88
Shoot USPSA with the STI, we need more single stack shooters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Drtheo
It may be going back to stop for repair, I finally got ahold of them, and sent in pictures. They were very attentive on the phone.

(Not sure if anyone else saw the Single Stack Classic was cancelled this year)
anbrumm
I started with IDPA and then tried USPSA. I'd suggest try both and see which one you prefer. There are a lot of people who shoot both.
