Holsters

Will any holsters that fit the 1.0  5",  Fit the 2.0  5"?.  Seems I read there is a difference in the two slides.

There is a difference, but only a few thousandths. So it depends on holster. Custom molded kydex for 1.0 probably going to be tight on 2:0.

 Sultac (Mark Sullivan) just made one for USPSA for my M2.0 FDE.  It's Perfect..

I have the same holster and it fits my 5" 2.0 perfectly.   They have adjustable tension  so minor fit differences should be easy to correct.

If it's Kydex, a hair dryer can help adjust minor issues.

For the most part, 2.0 guns will fit 1.0 holsters. Some retention holsters may not engage fully, so test that aspect.

My M&P 2.0 FDE (5.0") fits many of the holsters I purchased originally for the 4.25" 1st gen M&P.

Sports holsters naturally, but also:

Safariland 578, Safariland 6378, Safariland 6360, Comp-Tac M-TAC.

This makes me quite content.

 

The only holster that resisted insertion due to precision casting was my Fobus Paddle.

I have had no issues with holsters from the original to the 2.0 pistols.

It has been about 3 months since I posted this question.  What I ended up buying was the Comp-Tac M&P 5".

I did not want to spend that much money on a holster, but after doing a lot of searching it was clear... I'm so liking this rig.
I have other kydex holsters but they do not compare to the Comp-Tac.  I also shoot some ICOR and got one for a revolver...It's good stuff.
