STI "minor tuning package"

Just curious if anyone knows what's involved/included in the STI "minor tuning package"?  I've seen it mentioned a few times, but no details other than "for $285+ shipping, we'll swap recoil springs and some other stuff to make the DVC Open run minor ammo".  Wondering what they do for the money to increase reliability with minor ammo.

Shouldn't have to do anything but swap recoil and maybe main spring.

My TruBor is 100% with 9mm Major loads, and with the same

10# spring will run factory ammo fairly well IFF the gun is Very

Clean and Very Lubricated.

 

I would imagine that :   it should run a Minor load of PF 140 very nicely,

                                         it should run factory ammo with an 8 lb spring.

I had my DVC OPEN done and it works great now. But to be fair it wouldn't shoot anything before going back to them.They are great to deal with. I would try a 6 lb spring first ( that's what I use) it might work fine.

7 for minor and 9 for major in a long gun. Original is 8. Original mainspring of DVC is fine for minor, stronger for major if you start having timing issues.

It must be to have them actually test the gun to see if it works out of the box.

Hello: Get a 8lb ISMI recoil spring and shoot it. I use that spring for major and minor loads down to 120PF. I also use a 17lb ISMI mainspring as well. Thanks, Eric

What Eric said.  My Match Master runs 120 PF steel challenge loads, 150 PF knock down steel loads and 172 PF USPSA Major loads with an 8 lbs recoil and17 lbs main spring (ISMI).
