Sunday, Sept 15: Competitor shoot (~3-4 stages), with awards and prizes immediately following completion of shooting

You can shoot the IRC unclassified, but will be shooting "heads up" against all shooters, D through GM.  If you want to be classified, they are offering a classifier match on Thursday before the IRC begins.

Per ICORE policies, someone who is unclassified while shooting the IRC can become classified afterwards based upon their IRC performance.  That's how I achieved my current classifications.  Tends to be a more accurate classification for those of us who don't shoot standards well, or like to the get trigger happy.

We had fun driving around and visiting the covered bridges in the area at the East Coast Regional last Nov.  The storm the day before made for fun driving through a few flooded back roads. Beautiful country.

Do we know the round count?  I'd like to ship ammo this week.

The matchbook should be released by the end of this month, but in the mean time you can email MD Ken @ IRC-2019-MatchDirector@icore.org to see if he can share a round count with you.

I’m taking 700 each as we are doing the classifiers Thursday.

Mike,

How do you plan on getting the extras home?

I'd like to ship in 720 ( 3 moon clipped containers). But I'm not certain how to get extras home.  United Airlines limits me to 11 lbs of ammo.

I'm thinking about shipping 480 clipped, and flying in with 100 extra.  I can just stow the empty brass in my luggage and put any remaining rounds in my gun box.

If I knew a good plan for shipping home extras, I'd ship 3 full moon clip boxes (720 rounds)

We are driving down this time (7-8hrs)

I did have to leave rounds at the irc last year.  Simply wasn’t worth the cost to ship them back.

and I’m 99% sure your clipped rounds aren’t considered a proper storage container to fly

I flew with them last year.  They actually met all of the criteria.  I double checked and went to the TSA at the college station airport before I tried to fly.

I'm overweight for United, though .

Thanks!

That’s good to know.

We tried to strictly ship ammo to matches as we got hassled by the Air Canada  & by the overweight baggage  agents back in March.  Only issue was we need dummy rounds to practice on and there was no way I’m trying to explain that those aren’t live rounds.  So I ended up taking 200 live and inert rounds anyway.

thing is is we can’t have the ammo and guns in the same bag so it works out or else I’d have a 2nd bag fee which would be more costly than shipping it.

air Canada agents have forgotten to charge us the “weapons fee” and bag fee our last trip to MO. they are so happy just to get the help with the paperwork and get you gone

No way to sign up now?

Yeah I waited late but wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make it.

Email the match director directly at IRC-2019-MatchDirector@icore.org to see if you can squeeze in.

FYI I double checked the round count in the matchbook. It's 412 round (excluding Thursday Classifiers). Additionally Stage 11 "Skew It" claims to have 14 paper targets but 18 targets are on the stage diagram. So add 8 rounds for a minimum round count of 420 rounds.

I'm just trying to be helpful; it's hard to differentiate being nice and a nit-picking jerk via the written word.

Interested in the stage setup and the bays. Will there be more then one stage setup in a shooting area. Will be my first time to this club and was interested in transporting my gear between stages.

The outdoor section of the range is pretty big. There might be some smaller speed shoots side by side, but I'd count on alot of walking from pit to pit.
