For reference I'm running the BE comp with the BE slide (slide weighs in around ~10.5 oz I believe.) with an 8# spring. 8gr HS6 Everglades 124 FMJ (with the concave base) OAL 1.15 PF= 175 No Popples But like everything else in the open gun world, what works for one person may not for another. I think it's a matter of finding what you like and tuning it to work best for you. I do agree with OPENB with the 'science' part. It has been tested using CFD and that was one of the big draws for me; hard data. However once you introduce variables, albeit the comp will handle the gas consistently, the uncontrolled or inconsistent variables will effect the outcome of the experience. I guess what I'm getting at is that putting on the 'best' comp won't magically make an open gun shoot the flattest and softest without all the other work that goes with tuning an open gun to run reliably.
