How many rounds / cycles on the recoil spring?

I Don’t clip coils. 6 lb longslide spring. Only 2 matches and a few practice sessions so a couple thousand rounds on that recoil spring. But prior to that the one before had a lot more than that.

The sectional championship trophy the gun earned a few weeks back just arrived today. Figures. Like I said before, the gun felt great with the light recoil spring and ran like a top. I just wish I would have checked it out better before I ruined the second barrel also. Then I would at least have one gun up and running.

I’ve talked to a couple Smith’s and they don’t do metric threading so may be harder than expected to get barrels set up.

Could bulged brass be causing it to not full go into battery? Possibly a bur on breach face edge. (Mine was terrible) I run a CZ 8lb spring in my GT

When I swapped the barrel from the backup gun in it ran fine. Same slide. But that barrel rolled also.

I need to mic the slide lockup area and see what the depth is.

How tight is that comp to slide?

That comp looks like it's contacting and putting pressure on slide. Even a little bit will not allow the gun to lock and unlock properly. It's like trying to move the slide without allowing the barrel to move.
