Problem: 1st is on target, rest is way off....

I'm having a odd issue with my Open Gun as I wrote 1st shot goes right on target, but the following shot goes down to the right.

BUT, if I do a reload (racking the slide or manual feed 1 round at the time) everyone goes where they should....

And Yes, I have checked my c-more and it's working as it should :)

Any clues on what's going on..???

Actually, the rest of the shots are "going where they should". There is a problem with that first round being manually cycled into the gun. This was just talked about recently with several good ideas and suggestions on how to correct it. just do some searching and it will pop up.

Thanks, I'll try a search for it..

First thought: when you rack the slide, are pulling it all the way back and letting it go forward with full force?

In matches yes but can't remember if I did it at the attached picture. Will try it tomorrow.

Pulling the slide all the way back and releasing it doesn't change anything.

But forcing the slide forward does...

The "9/10" shot was releasing the slide and the other two in "5" was forcing forward. (The one on the right was second attempt, possible a bit harder)

The target is 50 feet away.

STI 2011, 9mm major

Table, resting on a bag.

not looks good for 15m target.

check the lower lug fit. too tight? or not.

i hope that barrel fit on front slide  is good.

That should be fine but we do suspect that the link has been stretched.

u have to  be sure that link  is  stretched  .,because   in 90% reason for this is not proper fit  of barrel to frame.

can u send pic.  of your  lower lug ? how much rounds gun shot?

I got the gun back in 2013 :) An estimate of 30k rounds give or take a few thousand...

do u have tool that remove all the dirt from buffers walls ?

i understand that it 9mm gun.  on mine compensators  i enlarged the buffers hole to 9.5 mm to solve problems with accuracy.

Yes I do but I fail to see how the comp is messing it up, when slamming the slide closed all the round goes the same way..

For me it seems like a locking issue.

i hope that slide don't touch compensator and don't allow  full lock.

let pro inspect the gun .
