How are the ACME bullets? I think that's the way I'm going to go next. I actually tried to order some last night but I couldn't find a discount code that worked. vrwm
@chenaultI like them a lot. I shot them the whole season. I switched over from FMJ they chrono’d faster for the same load. I just ordered a bulk case of 10,000 for $656 shipped. Can’t beat .065 cents per bullet. I can load them in my x5 and shadow 2. “54730” for 10% off but not applicable to bulk orders Edited November 1, 2018 by vrwm
tdp88
Thank you for the complete specs, tdp88. They are very helpful. You’re welcome! That is a load I have used in a G34, Springfield RO, Shadow 1, and Shadow 2. It has ran well and felt great in all. I see some posts that 1.15 is too long but I haven’t found it to be an issue yet. Doublehelix
I have a new X5 that I still have not shot yet due to hand surgery that is taking longer to heal than I thought. It is on my left hand (weak hand) right where the recoil would be felt most (of course). My go-to 9mm loads for my SIG P226 Legion SAO are 4.1 gr. TG under a 124 gr. RMR JHP, which gets me to about 132-133 PF. I know the X5 has a longer barrel so I expected to have to do some massaging to the load, but you guys are loading much lower than I was loading with TG. I also started making them shorter than I needed to for full backwards compatibility with other 9mm guns I own, so I am down to 1.06" with 4.1 TG under 124 JHP. Sounds like this is going to be at bit on the hot side for the X-5. I want to hit that 132-133 PF range again, but with the X5. I should be able to get out this week, the scar is healing and feels better each day. I will take the chronograph and see what I get.
jaep1911
Just got 4 lbs of Alliant Sport Pistol and chronoed a few loads through my X-Five. SP 3.16 gr (AVG of ten) ACME 147 FP (actual AVG weight of ten 148.2) CCI WIN once fired brass AVG COL 1.128 AVG of ten shots 891 (133 PF) StDev 6 Range 19 SP 3.28 gr ACME 147 (Actual AVG weight 148.2) CCI FED once fired brass AVG COL 1.122 (seated deeper for some reason) AVG of ten shots 909 (134 PF) StDev 9 Range 33 For comparison, my current load: Vectan Ba9.5 = 3.65 gr ACME 147 CCI Mixed brass AVG COL 1.122 AVG of ten shots 897 (133 PF) StDev 9 Range 28 I did not notice any major difference in accuracy among three. My next load would be SP 3.30-ish Cheers

chenault
I've found a load that's become my go to load. 124gr ACME BULLET 1.50 4.4 gr N320 132 pf Might lose a grain and see what I'm at, but it's a damn accurate load for me.

mellino19
I played around with some loads recently using my usual Titegroup, and a mix of Xtreme 147gr RN, Blue Bullets 147gr RN, and Brazos Precision 145gr RN. I mixed loads at 2.8gr, 3.0gr, and 3.2 gr TG (I was mainly testing PCC loads but wanted to test my X5 as well, I also probably should've done 3.1gr and 2.9gr for a better spread) Based off 5 round average: 3.2gr with the Xtreme made 127 pf 3.0gr with Blue made 129 pf (3.2 was 134 pf) 3.0gr with Brazos made 128 pf (3.2 was 136 pf) Those numbers above were all around 860-880 fps - mixed brass, fiocchi primers; OAL is mixed between the 3 bullet types because my press is set up mainly for Xtreme at 1.15 OAL but I ran the blue bullets and brazos through without adjustment and OAL is 1.139 3.0gr with Xtreme was 124.95 pf (so close!) so I know that it's really risking not making minor if going to a major match - 3.1gr is probably the lowest you could safely go and make minimum minor reliably. 2.9gr with the two coated options I used would probably just make minor as well. I have a little spreadsheet attached for those who want to check it out 147gr Reload Power Factor - Sheet1(1).pdf Edited May 29, 2019 by mellino19 edited OAL information

Aircooled6racer
Hello: I have two loads I like for now. Acme 135 grain, 3.6 grains Clean Shot, Winchester small pistol primers, 1.115" OAL. New load for me is Gallant 125 grain, 3.9 grains Clean Shot, Winchester small pistol primers, 1.125" OAL. Both loads are 129-131PF. If I run a major match I would bump them up to the 131-134PF range just to be safe. Thanks, Eric

Thanks for the update, I loaded (25) Rounds with 4.0 N320 Acme 124 RN-NLG, tested using S&W M&P2.0 5" that was adjusted for Remington FMJ factory Ammo. They shot low right at 25' I changed Ami point and hit the mark. Guess its normal to have that change. Going to make a 100 and also make 100 with your setup using 4.4g. Thanks again After I set aim point to top right, going to have to change the Trijicon RMR type 2 3.25 MOA to new bullets. Bottom Left was me LOL.
