I took the plunge...

My birthday is coming up and my wife said I could have a new pistol.  I picked up a Canik TP9SFx with the Vortex red dot yesterday.  I'll hit the range later this week.

 

First impressions are that it has the best out of the box trigger of all the polymer pistols I've handled.  The grip fits my hands quite well and the pistol points very naturally for me.

 

I'll need to pick up a holster and mag pouches since all my other stuff is for 1911 pistols.

Congratulations on celebrating another trip around the Sun, and also for having such a loving wife.

 

I've had my Canik SFx for about three weeks now, and I like it.

It's current configuration (and best, so far) is: Freedomsmith trigger. Polished trigger bar. Cajun Gun Works safety plunger spring. Glock 31 NM striker spring. Glock SS guide rod. Glock 13# recoil spring.

I was at the range this morning and with PF 130, 124 grain RN bullets, it ran flawlessly and was exceptionally accurate.

 

Run a couple of boxes of ammo through it first to loosen it up a bit.

You'll love this gun!  Got around 3000rds on mine. Runs great!
