Flatland Shooter
From a thread last year, Maxamundo introduced the wave spring. If I read it right, he is using a Smalley CS100-H7. These are 55 lb/in spring weight and 25 lb load capacity. (free height = 0.583" and loaded height = 0.201") I see some folks are ordering their wave springs from Amazon. This is the one that has links from Enos to Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0085ZOZFI/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A212Q8MWH0A8U7&psc=1 It has a 95 lb/in spring rate and 25 lb load capacity. (free height = 0.583" and loaded height = 0.201") Very close to the recommended spring but almost twice the spring rate. Checked using quarters as shims and I see I will not be able to lock back the bolt. No real problem but concerned it might be too stiff for the task. Also available on Amazon are these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0085ZP0CU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 They have a 44 lb/in spring weight and 12 lb load capacity. (free height = 0.417" and loaded height = 0.145") This spring is a bit shorter and it looks like with a loaded height of 0.145" I will still be able to lock back the bolt. Plus the the spring rate is closer to the "ideal" rate but the load capacity is half what is recommended. Max indicated he preferred a longer spring with the Blitzkrieg buffer. Has anyone experimented on the shorter/lighter spring? Did it work out? So if I want to order from Amazon which of the two should work better? (The Smalley CS100-H7 at Grainger is around $24 per spring with shipping.) Thanks. His comments: Link to comment
Garmil
I'm running the ones in top link. 2 of them with a delrin spacer and a hydraulic buffer. Working great. Link to comment

Running a ubr gen 2 believe the tube is standard carbine length with the use of the included spacer. With 1 wave spring my lrbho works with 2 it does not. Link to comment
Startingover
I bought the ones in the top link. Based on another post. Link to comment

I have a Blitzkrieg buffer, one wave spring (first Amazon listing), and a JP .308 carbine spring with a quarter between the two springs. I don't have any spacers at all and my LRBHO doesn't work. I plan to cut a coil off the wave spring, as I'm only < 1/8" too far forward. Link to comment
Garmil
I'm running a standard spring not .308 And actually lrbho is ammo dependant with 2 springs even it will lock back still with 2 wave springs and hotter factory ammo. Link to comment
JAFO
I misspoke (or mistyped, I guess). I can't engage my LRBHO manually. It works in live fire, but it's extremely tight and I really have to smack the crap out of the lever to release it. Link to comment
SJMPCC022
I shot my first match Sunday with my new Taccom3 buffer system, it was awesome! What would a wave spring do to make it better. The way it is now the bolt will lock back manually( the gun never had LRBHO) but not by much. Truthfully I guess it really doesn't need to . Up until Sunday I would lock the bolt back, put the mag in and send it, when it was a loaded start. Sunday I just put the mag in and chambered a round, much less effort than before. I still had one mag issue with the mag I have had problems with since I started. It is a Glock big stick with a TF +10. Every so often it hangs up. On Sunday I fired two rounds before it hung up. Jack three rounds on the ground, waste 10 seconds trying to make it go, suck ass on the stage. I've had the follower out twice for sanding the back/bottom edge round, good for a bit then problems again. I did a Maxmundo throat job on my barrel extention tonight, that should help? Oh yeah, the wave spring, need one or not ? Link to comment

Oh yeah, the wave spring, need one or not ? Grinding on the follower edges and the back edge of TF base plate is to make loading ammo into the magazine easier... If you grind too much on the bottom edge of the TF base plate, it could create a ledge that causes problems unloading (shooting) ammo. Wave springs are easy to put in at the range... Try one and see if you like it. Link to comment
