FX9 gets no love?

I don’t see much on here regarding the FX9 for PCC. Is it not up to the task? 

I bought one a couple months ago and slapped a POF trigger in it and a C-more but haven’t done anything with it yet. 

Anyone got some serious trigger time with one yet?

I've been shooting mine in PCC this season. It's been running well with a Timney Taurus trigger set.

I did a review of the FX9 in a more recent thread, but have been shooting one in USPSA matches for the past several months.

 

It runs great once in battery, but mag loading is a problem with this particular PCC as it is meant to be loaded with the bolt locked to the rear according to Freedom Ordinance. This presents obvious challenges for classifiers and stages that demand a mandatory reload.

 

I have been able to remedy some of the mag issues by trimming and polishing the magwell to help the mags fall freely and stripping as many as 5-6 rounds off my extended mags to allow them to seat (with effort) with the bolt closed. This is less of a problem with the short 17 round mags.

 

I have run the CMC PCC trigger in it without issues for at least 2-3k rounds.
