Dragon21
Looking to get back into some local 2gun/ 3 gun. I have been shooting a M&P Pro for a while now and its a great gun, however Im looking to try something new. I cant find these anywhere local so its gonna have to be a blind order. I know I want the SAO trigger. Im leaning towards the Polymer match since it come more competition setup. But the elite has my attention too. From those that have shot both, whats your recommendation?
MemphisMechanic
If you want single action, I'd be looking to spend the money on a Limited / Limited Custom / EAA Termoftheday for the same basic gun.
jdk129
Jim Jones of J&L Gunsmithing fitted a straight trigger to my Tanfo Witness P Match. He usually has them in stock. Dragon21
Witness P match is half the price of the limited. If I could budget the limited I would jump on that without a doubt. the Witness P match is already SAO. The P Match Pro is DA/SA

That was my point. Square trigger guard or bust.
ATLDave
If you're bothering to upgrade off the M&P, I'd get the heavy metal frame... that's where a lot of the nice-ness versus an M&P or Glock comes from.
jcc7x7
Listen to Memphis Go to the large frame limited
Dragon21
Thanks for the suggestion. But the limited isn’t in the budget with the amount of competitions I’m actively doing. So the options above are what I’m sticking with for now Edited August 14, 2018 by Dragon21
MemphisMechanic
To be perfectly honest.... for 2 or 3 gun? Why not grab a Stock II and run it cocked and locked with a wide thumb safety if the DA pull somehow offends you? In 9mm (no major for pistol in multigun) there's really not much you're giving up over the Limited with a Stock II / III / Limited Pro in the $900 range. If the square trigger guard (competition frame) metal Tanfos are out of your budget right now, well, keep shooting the M&P while you save up. It's worth the wait. Dragon21
The thing is I can’t justify a $1000 gun for as much as I shoot right now. I know if I shot more $1000 is nothing. But I shoot competitions a few times a year right now. Hope that can change as my kids get older. But with other hobbies, this is what I’m looking to spend for something new (knowing I’m gonna need mags, holster, and front sight at a minimum). I use to shoot every month, but haven’t done that the last few years.
NoKimberDave
For the price of the poly Match, I would go with a CZ75 SA instead. It can be had for under 600$ and is a nice gun, imo.
