Cushion over grip, what shoes do you have?

I'll sacrifice overall grip and feel over cushion with my shooting shoes. At the end of the match my plantar faciatis is killing me. I have the Asics FujiRunnergade and has minimal cushion at best.

I think about Hoka One One or UA when I think cushion; what shoes do you use when shooting that provide good cushion throughout the day? Thanks.

I've suffered from the same thing.  For me more cushion isn't always better and typically leads to short term relief but in the long term more pain.

I like a little cushion but stable shoe and I use Superfeet inserts.  Have you tried out Superfeet insoles or gotten insoles from your doctor?  My current set up has lead to my plantar faciatis reducing to the best its been in 5 years (fingers crossed).  I use Inov 8s and Football Cleats depending on the surface, I wear vans walking around at home since they have zero drop and help streatch the achilies (one of the main causes of plantar faciatis). Every pair of shoes I have have superfeet in them now and since I've done that I've been on the road to recovery with my plantar faciatis.

I've never tried Hoka shoes but I've heard they're great for cushion.  UA shoes i've heard mixed reviews but the ones I've worn (trianing shoes) weren't the best.

Hoka shoes are very soft but I would be careful as they are very "tall" shoes, ie. your foot is higher off the ground to provide for all of the cushioning.  This may be an issue if you have to change directions fast.  I tried a pair and they did provide much more cushioning but I always felt as if I was running on top of a balance beam.

Check out  on-running.com, the cloudsurfer is very comfortable shoe. They also have off road/trail models, cloudventure, with a little less cushion. Second recommendation is Altra running. They offer trail running shoes with different levels of cushioning. Allowing you to pick your comfort level. Large toe box and zero drop with very good support. Have had good luck with both brands.

The Hoka ATR is very plush and grippy.  I've encountered no problems on any of the USPSA stages I've shot.  The Hoka Trail is more grippy, medium plush and lighter.  If you think the ATR is a little too squishy in turns, the trail will solve that.  I use both as is.  I use Superfeet insoles on almost everything else.

BTW, I like the Hokas better than the Brooks ASRs I used to use.

Been reading all evening about the Saucony Peregrine 8. Several reviews said they were the most comfortable of the Tough Mudder style shoes. 6mm aggressive lugs, thick sole cushion foam, padded tongue. A little cheaper than Salomons, appear made a little wider.
