19 rounds of 40 cal (picture worth 1000 words)

So, I've sent 2 CO slides down to Joe @PatriotDefense

 To configure for different dots.  while they are gone, i "get to" shoot limited with my 40 cal stock 2.  With the excellent Taylor Freelance 141 extensions and Gramms guts, the K40 mags can hold 19 rounds in 2 and 20 rounds in one.

 

So i got to wondering... what that looked like with the base off. Turned one upside down  and loaded up.  picture is of 19 in the tube and the 20th in front. No wonder it's so tight!  I'm "assuming" the ones at 19 the spring doesn't nest as tightly.

 

I'll probably just fill with 19 and 18 to keep them more reliable.

Yeah 19 rounds reliably fed is better than having a mag that won't feed properly.  Heck even 18 rounds with 1 barney is better than 20 that won't feed reliably.
