usmc90
To start this off I gave a friend some of my comp. loaded 147gr 9mm to shoot (he was just plinking). He really liked how soft it shot . It’s 130 PF Anyway he wants to know if loads like this can be bought/ordered somewhere but I have no idea So does anyone know if loads like this are available and where ? Thanks for any help
Talon75
As far as Factory goes, I believe the Federal Syntech is the only thing that would be close to 130 PF, although I don't know any chrono data on them.
Ssanders224
Precision Delta 147. It is tailored toward USPSA, and is about 131-132 PF. Very clean, feels great, true jacketed bullet. Keep an eye on it, as it runs on sale from time to time. http://www.precisiondelta.com/products/9mm-147gr-fmj-remanufactured-ammunition/
FortyOverUnder
Sig Match ammo. Not sure of the prices.
PhillySoldier
I know Atlanta Arms sells some that marked as meeting major power factor requirements - not sure about minor PF. There's another company too but im struggling to remember the name. I remember they color stripe their cases and sold like sample ladder packs of ammo at varying charge weights; if that rings a bell with anyone
cjmill87
ASYM Precision 147 Range loads are on the more inexpensive side and are supposed to be right around 130-135PF. It's very soft shooting but I haven't chrono'd it to get an exact speed.
evild
Run of the mill fmj factory 147 os going to be about 140-150 pf. As mentioned above, there are places that make it geared toward USPSA
Hi-Power Jack
Not a 147 grain, but everytime I've chrono'd Remington green box 115 grain FMJ's, in my BHP, they come out about PF 127 or so
GrumpyOne
For off the shelf ammo from Walmart (or any other place that carries it), Federal American Eagle 147 FMJ is going to be about as close as you can get to a soft shooting factory, readily available, not having to order, load. usmc90
Thanks guys. Apparently he’s trying to keep his wife into shooting (just target type stuff) lol. I barely keep up with my own loading so hopefully he can find somewhere else to get similar loads

I clocked Federal Syntech 115 grain at 1,187+-22 fps (pf=136+-2.5) and 124 grain at 1,082+-16 fps (pf=134+-2), both from Stock 2. For comparison, Federal American Eagle 124 grain was 1,053+-34 fps (pf=130+-4).

BentAero
Has anyone clocked the Federal Syntech 150 grain? I'm far more interested in the stats for that than the lighter grains.

Helios
I used T1 135gr SNS coated before I started loading my own ammo. It’s not cheap but I had nothing but great experiences with it. https://t1ammo.com/product-category/competition-ammunition/
GOF
Atlanta Arms. They have a 147-grain 9mm Minor caliber load. Team Glock (when they had a team) used it, and so do some military teams.
Nuncles
FWIW, I used some Atlanta Arms 124gr at a match a few months back and if I recall correctly, the were 135 PF at the chrono stage. They worked great that day, I can't say the same for me.
