My S2 modified for CO

I want to say that Cajun Gunworks and Mark at L and M Precision Gunworks (https://www.landmprecisiongunworks.com/)were incredible to work with.

Cajun did incredible work getting the S2 to run as smooth as silk. They did the full service competition job on it and cerakoted it in tungsten.

Mark at L&M was a gentleman, keeping me posted all through the slide modification process. As you can see from the pictures, he worked wonders on the slide and refinished it in black nitride.

The S2 comes in at 44.9 oz. with the DPP on it, factory mags and base pads, original grips and guide rod.

Praise and thanks all around for Mark at L&M and the boys at Cajun!

looks great..question , now with the lighter slide does the gun feel like it shoots differently?

are you getting more muzzle flip than before or does it feel the same?

I can't wait for mie to get back from the CZ custom shop

There was no perceived additional muzzle flip. As a matter of fact, my S2 shot softer than my friend’s SP01 he had modified for CO.

If you add +6 base pads for maximum capacity, are you overweight? I'd have figured that into whatever weight reduction you did, 23rds. is really the standard for CO. But, it look beautiful.

  • 2 weeks later...
just got word yesterday that my slide is done at CZC should be here on Tuesday, maybe in time for
me to use it this coming weekend at the "Walls of Steel" match in Rhode Island [emoji4]

Nice! Let us know how it runs.
Have fun!

I am thinking of doing the same thing - same DPP etc. this season is more than half done so plenty of time once it is done for next year or maybe some indoor winter stuff - so, that said: How long gettinging beginning to end and (also important) how much after all the dust settled did the entire work cost minus the cost of the optic but gun and all modifications. Want to know what I am going to have to sell, how many classes I have to teach and what other sources of funding do I need to look at. A friend of mine just bought a gun to get set for CO from CGW and said 12 weeks about and around $2,000 (or so).  Thanks
