DB_Cooper
I got a brand new MBX mag for my STI Edge .40 and I can't get the pin to push down to remove the base pad. Should I just loosen the set screw a little or will this void the warranty or is their a trick to this?
SSGJohnV
I use the edge of a table to push the pin in. They can be tight when new but will loosen up. They say not to adjust the set screw because there is more than just the set screw in the assembly, and it's pretty easy to lose the parts. I would try the table trick first, then if that doesn't work adjust the set screw A TEENY BIT.
open17
Chopstick to push it and get the basepad off, press it on the table top/edge to retain the basepad.
DB_Cooper
I pushed it on the edge of my reloading bench and all it did was dent the wood on the bench, I will try a harder surface this evening.
SilverBolt
Loosen the adjustment screw. Doesn't much.
Racinready300ex
I adjust the set screw so it's tight enough to be hard to move. Then I just use the base pad of another mag to push it up and down.
