Tachead7075
Hi guys, does anyone know what the newest version of the case feeder is? I just ordered one and when it showed up it doesn't have the steel plate on the side of the body. It says it's Version 2 on the box. I see most of the pictures on the net show it should have a yellow(Zinc Plated) steel plate on one side of the bowl but, this one does not. Did I get a really old version or something? Thanks. cvincent
I believe the newest version does not have the zinc plate. The new version also has a plastic block thing inside the bowl to the right of the output hole. Also an adjustable slider shim thing on the output hole. If any of that makes sense......Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
dillon
The current version does not have a metal plate on the side of the bowl. The bowl is all plastic, and the loading gate where cases fall out of the bowl is adjustable for size.
Tachead7075
Ok thanks guys, I appreciate it. Mine is definitely the newest version as it has the blue adjustable piece and the adjustable loading gate. SteelCityShooter
Any idea when Dillon made the change? My 650 purchased in January 2008 has the older "yellow steel plate" case feeder bowl. Any advantage to the newer design?
dillon
The design change occurred the end of January of this year. The primary advantage is the adjustable loading gate means there are fewer cases that require a spacer washer under them to feed, so you can load more of the short rifle cases, including 300 Blackout and 6.5 Grendel using rifle case feed plate. With the older feeder, you used a pistol plate and multiple washers. The primary reason for the design change is that the mold finally wore out, so we needed to make a new mold anyway, might as well make some improvements. Looks like I’m back in style again.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
