phidelt208
Has anyone seen a change in Hogdons Clays, I haven't reloaded 45 ACP in a while and just picked up a pound of it from Cabelas and it has a Yellowish look to it now. The darker powder is Clays from some reloads I made years ago, and the stuff on the right is the new powder.Just to be clear this is Clays, not universal or international. Anyone else seeing this in the clays powder they have bought recently?
MemphisMechanic
If you have OLD clays then you have original Aussie made clays. That factory burned down and it’s now made in an entirely different country. It will likely look very different.
Postal Bob
My clays for over 10-15 years, has always looked like the lighter colored one. I've never seen clays dark colored.
Steve RA
The lower left corner of the label will tell where it was manufactured. My Old (Australian) Clays looks like the one on the left.
mont1120
I have an 8 pound jug of Canadian Clays, and it looks like the one on the left, and like Steve RA said, the old Clays from Aussieland I used up looked just like it. And the two manufacturers powders are not quite the same for sure. Canadian Clays is slower in my .45 then the Australian version.
