ericskennard
I tripped across an older Rock River Arms LAR-9 pistol in a local gun shop. They had it for some time and made me an offer I could not refuse. This pistol has the old style 9mm non-ramped bolt that takes the funky hammer. Although it only has a 7.5 inch barrel the thing is incredibly accurate. The trigger however is REALLY HEAVY. Does anyone make an improved hammer/trigger group that works with these old style bolt?? Xanatos903
I seem to remember reading that ADCO offered ramping services for pretty cheap. You could get in touch with them and see what they could do for you. You could also swap out the bolt for better compatibility, or even just replace the trigger springs with reduced power for a lighter trigger pull. Link to comment
ericskennard
Thanks, I will give ADCO a call. The gun has functioned 100%, zero malfunctions. I hate to get a new $150 bolt when this one works. Link to comment
412
I left the bolt alone and replaced the hammer and trigger springs with JP reduced power kit. Took my old rock river trigger down to about lbs. Link to comment
WhiteDingo
Ramping the existing bolt shouldn't be a big deal for any gunsmith with a mill, and then you can use most standard triggers. The $50 ADCO charges isn't a bad price at all, and they do a nice job. Link to comment
