What laser for your PCC

I have a JP GMR-15 and just purchase the Crimson Trace Rail Master Universal Green Laser.  From what I can see most are mounting the laser on the top of the hand guard.  Is this what most are doing or it there other options.

Guys, I am in the market for a green laser for my PCC for IDPA and USPSA.  I am looking at the sight mark Lo Pro, the  Crimson Trace CMR 206, and the Holosun LS 117G.  What do you guys think?  Would like to run it at 12 o'clock ideally but I am running an Eotech EXPS so I don't have much height to work with on top so may have to run it elsewhere.

I went with the CT CMR 206.

Well it seems like the 206 is pretty popular so I ordered one to try out.  Thanks for the input.

What distance did you use for zeroing the laser?

I currently do 90% of my shooting at my local clubs indoor range.

So I have both my optic and the laser set for 12-15 yrds.

At that distance they overlap.

To be honest, I haven't used the laser enough to find out. I'm still on the original battery.

I got 3 hours out of mine today before it started going off on its own. Does that sound like the battery or another issue?

Based on the "description" section for them at Brownells, it has a 2 hour run time for the green and a 3 hour for red.

 

So I guess that's probably the problem.

Truthfully, both are very similar (I'm the project manager for LM), we're both limited by the FDA to produce lasers under 5mW. I haven't tested the output of that particular CT model in a while but the Micro-2 is going out just under the legal limit.

 

We have a rebate going on right now, as well. Some places are able to offer that as an instant rebate, like Optics Planet.

 

If you guys have any laser related questions, I'd be more than happy to help answer them for you. This is the shooting off-season for me but I still usually check Enos once a day.

Plenty of laser usage at our night shoots. I've yet to install one but I'm all for tricking out my guns...

Hi all,

 

I'd like to put a laser sight on my pcc, in front of the DeltaPoint (on the same picatinny rail). DeltaPoint sits over a .5" riser.

 

Can someone tell me the max height (from top of the picatinny rail) of the Crimson Trace CMR206 and the Laser Max  Micro 2 ?
