147gr 9mm Power Pistol

I just acquired a CZ Scorpion Evo 3 S1 with a 16.25” barrel (with faux suppressor) and have some 147gr Precision Delta FMJ RN bullets on the way. I’ve got about 5lbs of Power Pistol on hand and would like to use that for my loads. Does anybody have data I could use as a starting  point? Or, if PP is a bad choice for some reason, what other powder would be preferable? My aim is to have a soft shooting load for steel and USPSA.

I load my PCC with 4.0 of WSF and Delta 147's. Powerpistol will work but it has lots of flash and you can feel the difference even in a carbine. I have a lots of PP just dont care for it in my carbines. If you just want to burn the PP in your carbine. You can start around 4.5 grains and work towards 5.0 grains.

The factory barrel on my XDm9 5.25 had a fairly short throat but this load still work great!  I used a 14 lb. recoil spring since it's a pretty light load - no problems with muzzle flash either.

Bullet:  Precision Delta 147 gr. FMJ-RN
Powder:  Alliant Power Pistol 4.3 grs.
Primer:  Federal 100
Case:  Federal
LOAL:  1.150

I tried a number of charges with a Precision Delta 147 FMJ and settled on 4.5 because it would still lock my slide back on our Glock 34's.  Velocity was about 930 as I recall, accuracy was excellant.  I evaluated a bunch of other powders and did not care for them including TG, until I tried N320.  I'm running N320 now but Power Pistol is probably a little more accurate.  My COAL was 1.145.

Thx all. After talking with a local PCC guru I decided to go with CFE Pistol which burns a little cleaner. I tested from 3.6gr up to 4.2gr and settled on 4.0gr. Chronoed at 941fps and 138 PF with good dot retention and lively (read: not sluggish) feeling.
