What I do is test the springs before I install them and check them after they have been used for a little bit. Some springs say they are 9lbs or whatever but when you test them they are actually 7 or 11. I tested a spring the other day that should have been an 8 lb spring and it was actually 9.5lbs. 8lb springs with give good dot tracking and will feed very well if the pistol is setup correctly.
