FFEMT
Been running an Used 550B for about 6 months now and lately I have noticed an ton of powder on the shell plate and table. Yes iam Running Open 9mm so the powder is close to the rim of the case. But Iam not going as fast as possible. Are there any way to prevent the powder loss. Not Seeing any major changes in Grains in completed rounds. So I dont know how Iam losing so much powder. BTW Iam running HS6.

dillon
Push down on the edge of the shellplate between stations 2 and 3. If it feels springy, then snug down the shellplate bolt a bit more. Instead of a bearing, just grease the index sprocket where the head of the shellplate bolt contacts it. If you think static is the cause, then cut a 3/4" wide strip longwise from a dryer anti-static sheet. Run it down the inside of the plastic hopper tube until it touches the metal powder measure body. Fold the excess over the top of the tube and tape it to the outside of the hopper tube. Then pour powder into the hopper.
FFEMT
Thanks I will give that a try. Does not help that Iam running 8.3 grains of HS6 ( 9 mm major) .
dillon
Definitely a full case. I used to use 800-X to make 9mm major long, long ago. A case full of tiny Frisbees!
