wdfwguy
I've tried a few different bullets, and so far it seems my two Shadows prefer a 124/125 flat point or conical bullet. Especially the Acme FP. But I haven't tried any HPs yet. Any suggestions for a specific bullet I might try, but that's less than .10 apiece? I just don't want to spend the money for Hornady HAPs. Precision Delta, maybe? Oh, and I'm using Sport Pistol for almost all my 9mm loads.
Darrell
Do a search for my name, I have a spreadsheet posted and a link to my up to date spreadsheet. You can go to the Shadow tab and sort by group size. My recommendation is Precision Delta 124 JHP’s at 1.080” OAL, with 4 gr of tightgroup or 4.8 gr of N340. These both make 130 power factor. If you want strictly accuracy then 5.4 to 6.0 of Power Pistol.
superdude
Try this one from rmr. It has produced some very small groups from a Kart barrel. And it's low cost. https://www.rmrbullets.com/products/379348791689248-9mm-124-gr-rmr-truncated-cone-flat-point-matchwinner Zero JHP bullets (my gun prefers the conical shape to the RNJHP) are also very accurate from my barrel, and they are close to 10¢. I had been using these bullets for a few months now and very pleased with the results on my Shadow 2 and TSO. They are very accurate. I’m loading them using 4.1 Gr of Winchester 231 and WSP @ 1.102 OAL.
wdfwguy
Thanks, I'll try the Precision Delta and RMR bullets
wdfwguy
Darrell... I've been loading the PD JHPs with BE, HP38 and Sport Pistol. They've all been extremely accurate in my G17 and CZ Shadow, both set up with a DPP. I've also found that the shorter OAL (1.08 as you suggested) has been more accurate than loading them slightly longer.
