Para Ordnance P16-40

I have a Canadian built P16. I have been thinking about getting into Limited. It has Trijicon night sights on it and I would like to get a set of sights that match my production gun.

 

My production gun sights are 0.155 width notch all black rear and 0.125 width fiber optic front post from Dawson precision. Dawson doesn't list an all black rear sight any wider than 0.125.

 

For those of you running Para's in Limited, what are you using for sights? This is the dovetail cutout on my pistol.

I use the Factory adjustable rear sight with a Dawson fiber front sight. You could just get a thinner front sight.

P14-45 is Brazos front FO and factory rear adjustable.  P16-40 is Dawson FO and factory rear adjustable.  I didn't buy the Dawson and I'm not close where i could measure it for you.  I would suggest trying a thinner front as well.

From the pic, it looks like something isn't fit right in that dovetail. You will need to measure it before you buy anything.

It may just be a shadow on the viewers right side of the dovetail, but you should measure it before you order anything anyway.

Para was notorious for inconsistent dovetail sizing.

Yes it is a shadow. From a little research I believe that is Para's '' LDA'' dovetail cut. The only company I can find that makes that style is Dawson. It looks like I will be getting the 0.125 rear and 0.100 or 0.090 front. I really like the sight picture with the wide rear but it is what it is! Thanks guys.
