Sam
Half of the fun of the whole New Year celebration has got to be the process of resolution. Here is mine: Explore the power of relaxation. (in shooting & in life)

SiG Lady
--Claw my way to the upper atmosphere of the shooting league, starting with spring season. --Couple of perfect targets would be nice, too. --One personal resolution I can't mention yet. (I'll let you know if it comes to pass.) --Leave pain behind. --Gain weight. (I know that sounds weird.) --New job. --Retain Open Mind mode. --Find someone to give that second copy of Brian's Book to. --Figure out a way to keep up with inflation. --Teach more ladies to shoot. --Do volunteer work (I'm making some arrangements as we speak). --Pay attention (even more than usual) to others. --Enjoy it all. SiG Lady
Oh, sorry... I got carried away. Was having a good day and feeling motivated. Hey, I had about 8 resolutions for 2002 and finished off at least 5 or 6 of them. Not too bad, really, considering my previous years. Unless flaming colored fonts overload The Forum's system (and no one in Admin has really indicated as much) then color it IS!

Ron Ankeny
I too have a New Year's resolution, actually more of a goal. I am getting fat and old. Nothing I can do about the old part, but the other is within my control. SiG Lady: You want more weight? I'll give you 50 lbs for a start, lol. Duane Thomas
Write many more articles, make more money. Attend many more major matches. Work out regularly - ideally six days a week. Dry fire regularly - ideally six days a week. Have two or three live fire sessions a week. Train with Matt Burkett. Watch The Legend of Bagger Vance with Travis Tomasie. Shoot at least one Glock match, ideally more, before I get a Master card in either IDPA or USPSA. Win many free guns. Get Master cards in IDPA and USPSA. 2003 IS THE YEAR, BABY! [/discontinue Savannah, GA regional accent] RA-- Thanks for your generous offer, but I don't think I have quite the space for 50lbs. DT-- Oh jeez, I knew I forgot something on my list!! Dry-firing. Thanx for the reminder. You see...? DT has his own hefty list for 2003. Some of us just feel the pressure and hafta to these things...

j1b
New Years Resolution 1) Never forget who I am, where I am from, where I've been, or what I stand for. every year I fail at some point in time, every year I get a bit better. 2) Go on another hunting trip with my dad - someday the last hunt will be the last hunt - I don't want to miss it. 3) Go camping alone for one night at minimum. I used to do it so much - and now I don't. 4) Watch Legend of Bagger Vance (with or without Tomasie!) 5) If I fail at the rest, go back to the first. Nolan
Ok, here's mine: 1) Join the Hair Club for Men. 2) Join Gold' Gym and move 10lbs from waist to chest. 3) Get bra for the above mentioned 10lbs. 4) Shave off ZZTop beard and use an alias to shoot matches at a certain local club. 5) Give up on waiting for the above mentioned club to give out 2001 trophies and post year end results. Sam
Cool j1b, sounds like you go on a great hunt every year! We'd love to see some pics if you can manage it. I usually hunt elk along the Colorado/Wyoming border. It isn't nearly as fun as western Wyoming, but its closer to home. We usually hole up somewhere south of Encampment, not too far from Hog Park. On the Colorado side, I heard the area around Meeker was pretty good hunting last year. Nice country down there, lots of elk, but too much orange for me. BigDave
J1B - 1) Never forget who I am, where I am from, where I've been, or what I stand for. My parents used to tell me a version of that everytime I walked out of the door when I lived at home. Best advice I ever received. My resolutions: - Love my wife more on 12/31 than I did on 1/1 (and I'm in love with her lots now) - Travel more with my wife - Shoot more with my wife - Shoot at least one Area Match - Shoot more - Complain less about not getting to shoot because of my work schedual - Improve my health - Tile my master bathroom floor
