At what compressed length is a 1911/2011 main spring tested using a spring gauge/tester?

Thank You but it sounds like you might be thinking recoil spring length. Looking for main spring or hammer spring spec.

Load at compressed length of 1.062  (this is what you are looking for?)

The rating given to the mainspring is the amount of force required to compress it to a length of 1.312". It will take 23# of force to compress a mainspring rated as being 23# to that length.

 

1.062" is the minimum compressed length (maximum compression). A 23# rated mainspring will require about 29 lbs of force to compress it to that length.
