X-treme 165gr with Power Pistol

I am looking for some advice using Power Pistol with x-treme 165 plated bullets.  The Alliant book says max is 7.8 does that mean I can safely reduce 10% to start.  Does anyone have any experience with this bullet and powder? I have a Glock 40 S&W.

This is what I hare about Alliants book. They show max data but no minimum data. In my Lyman 48th reloading manual is says to start at 6.3gr and max at 7.0gr with 165gr bullet. The Lyman manual and powder manufacturers load data is always different for every powder I've used. Hope this helps.
