Dirtchevy841
Didn’t know where to put this thread so here it is. Looking for suggestions for a reloading room layout. Room will be 8’widex10’long. Pics of room setups would be nice to see. Pm me I’ll text you my number for pics. Will have 2 650s. Got an idea but would like to see pics. MemphisMechanic
I used to have a 2ft x 6ft bench in the garage. It has now heen relocated to an 18” x 20” ultra rigid welded mini-bench in the guest bedroom. Ahh... air conditioning! Moral of the story? Start with a larger bench with 2ft of workspace on either side of your press. After a year of use, you’ll know EXACTLY how much space your reloading habits actually require. And where that space actually needs to be. Edited May 18, 2018 by MemphisMechanic
bjones6686
Here's my small reloading bench. I'm very restricted on space to be able to reload. So the roll around cart with the cabinet below works great. Store powder and primers below. I recently sold the Square Deal B so now I only have the Super 1050 on the cart. Micky
Sorry for the disorganized, cluttered area. It is what it is. This is in my 30 x 40 shop. I work on my tractor, mowers, change oil in all of my vehicles, work on archery equipment, clean guns, reload, and more. Always some project of some kind in the works. Usually multiple projects at various stages of completion.
TennJeep1618
If all goes to plan, I'll be moving into a new house in less than a month and my new reloading/gun room will be 11x14. I used SketchUp to make this model the other day. I'm not 100% sure if I want to keep this layout, but now I've got something to tweak for the next several weeks until I get can started on it. Maximis228
My room is 10x10. Better view (180 Pano) of the whole room before I added a new bench and presses. Edited May 18, 2018 by Maximis228

rjacobs
My room is about 12x12. I had 2 super 1050's on the bench at once time plus a Forster Co-Ax. My advice would be to build a bench similar to what I have posted above. Its full length 2x4's except the cross bracing...top has 5 cross braces, shelves have 3. 4x4 corner posts and 2 sheets of 3/4 MDF ripped down the middle(so roughly 24" depth). The top is doubled up MDF. Size the height to hit your belt buckle. On the other wall build or buy shelves/cabinets to store your components which will be another 24" or so deep. The bench and the shelves/cabinets will take up 4' of your 8' width.
MikieM
I am also in an 8' by 10' room. The presses are on one wall and the workbench is on the opposite wall. Small, but comfortable.

Dirtchevy841
Got the layout down. Still debating the top though. Butcher block looking like it. Have a hook up for 2 pieces cheap. Or Would 2 sheets of 3/4 ply be better. Butcher he has is 2 inches thick.
George16
Go with the 2” butcher block. Stronger compared to 1 1/2” plywood and will look better too.
jim m
Second on the butcher block or a solid door. I used a piece of bowling alley with 4x4 legs and a thick shelf on the bottom for stability. WHATEVER you do make sure it doesn't move and is level. Your 1050 will thank you.. Have fun.

Dirtchevy841
Getting ready to start building. Room gonna be 12x10. Decided not to put window in room. Added door from room to garage instead of walking through house with stuff but room is right off bedroom. Bought mounts from inline fab for presses in new room. Anybody have them and will standard height cabinets be low or high enough with mounts.
