Mo Zee
So I've been playing around in 3gun for some time now and just purchased a new rifle. I'm looking at variable power optics which, here in South Africa is scarce and pricey. I've shortlisted 2, the Vortex Razor JM1 or the Swarovski Z8i BRT. The price tag on the Swarovski is almost 1000USD more here, so I would like to know if it's worth it? Yes it has 8x magnification but I'm primarily using it for IPSC (max 300m) and 3gun, so I don't think that Max power is a train smash. Any feedback with be appreciated. AustinWolv
The extra $$ is not worth it, especially only going to 300m.
Hi-Power Jack
Highly personal decision. If the extra $1,000 doesn't mean too much to you, once, go for it. The Razor is a ubiquitous substitute. But, not quite as good
Garmil
Worth it is not something we can answer for you. Imo the Z8i is lighter has slightly better glass and a wider field of view, Razor has a slightly larger eye box. Reticles are personal preference
