RevolverJockey
So I started working on my old Caspian Open gun since no one wanted to buy it - lol. At the moment I have taken .060” off the top of the slide following the existing taper and have a pretty noticeable gap under the “proof of concept mount” I made. Before I redesign for version two of the mount, can/should I take the slide down any farther? Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated as I am kind of shooting from the hip. The role of this gun will be informal steel matches and open minor. Thanks in advance, Lee
jcc7x7
Clearance looks ample. What does the slide weigh? General thought is 10.2-11 ozs. Mine ran in the low 10's. Caspian slides seem fine with that, sti's not so much. Imo
RevolverJockey
Slide weight populated or stripped? Currently the slide weight with extractor, firing pin, spring and retainer and slide racker is 11.6oz.
