Mossberg 930 JM Pro - good starter for 3 gun?

I apparently got lucky and mine has run very well for me. I have had a total of 2 failures to eject when the gun was filthy and running cheep ammo.

They do need to be shouldered firmly. I have seen my gun malfunction with FTEs and light strikes from being not firmly in battery, when other shooters have shot it. Every time it has messed up on someone else I have been able to take it and run their ammo flawlessly through it. So there is a certain amount of your technique needing to match it's operation.

Once I addressed the shell stop, mine has ran reliably as well. Cleanliness is critical as stated many times previously already and do not regret the purchase at all. I would also strongly suggest purchasing a few spare parts including the shell stop pivot pin retaining clip that I lost during a match. I called Mossberg and they sent me a half dozen or so for spares...

I know someone who runs one, and has well over 15K shells through his.  He also has an assortment of broken small parts, as well as some minor issues.  However his shotgun is quite reliable.  He has some Or3gun parts, and a new SBE Precision Products competition piston.  Now he is cleaning way less as the gas system is far less dirty.  The aftermarket is making these shotguns really viable contenders.
