Best throating reamer?

Who would be the best source for a carbide throating reamer for a 9mm barrel?

I have a Manson reamer now that works well for standard steels but it just won't cut the harder surface treated chrome,melonite or nitrided barrels.

Looking for a solution..

I have special carbide reamers made by a local tool and die company for throating 9mm barrels. Mine are similar to the Clymer throat reamers but obviously cut much better. Message me if you are interested.

1911luvr throated a nitride coated barrel for me a while back and did a good job.  I'm very happy with the results.

 

That barrel can now handle any bullet,  jacketed, plated or coated, that I wish to use. 

 

The toughest is 160 gr Ibejihead bullets loaded to 1.160" OAL.

Before you throat a barrel make sure the real problem isn’t a long chamber. I recently had that issue with a 9mm barrel.

A long chamber is not the case in this particular barrel.

I ended up buying a carbide reamer from 1911luvr.

Used it on my problem child barrel.

It worked better than I thought possible on that hard metal.

Very happy with the results.
