Canted/slanted Iron sights for this rail

Recommended Posts

Hello, new to the forum and also 3 gun.

My close buddy sold me his just about ready 3 gun AR because he can't partake for physical reasons.

The only thing I want to do to it is add canted iron sights for close targets, but not even sure what's the best way to add them to this.  It's a carbon fiber rail which looks to have mlok on the sides.

From research, only thing I can put together is a slanted Picatinny for the front sight, and then a Mlok to picatinny rail section, and then add  just a normal regular picatinny front sight.

The other option is skip the mlok to picatinny rail, and just get a front sight that attaches via mlok via knights arnament via this: (ONLY one I've found that does Mlok iron sights.

Am I right in my options or has anyone ever had experience with this?

Thank you.

Here's pictures of the gun to assist.

If that scope is a 1x which it looks like it is, then you can run it just like a non magnified sight up close, so no other sights would be necessary.

Correct it is.  For my local matches it's likely not a big deal for me, however, I'm just planning if I wanted both in case I needed to go 4x for further targets, and engage close targets as well.

one of these really helped me. I believe member Jesse tischauser has a discount code at optics planet too.

Funny enough, I just read an article:

Maybe I'll try this, the mlok is a straight line, I'll test it out before an actual match then I can determine if I even need the irons or the lever.

Thanks for your responses.

Look at ultradyneusa.com

They have a set of irons that mounts to the barrel that can either be vertical or canted. Used them at a demo booth during superstition. Very nice.
