Blockhead Posted February 27, 2018 Share Posted February 27, 2018 I have a 16” DPMS that runs great for HM Optics 3Gun. It’s worked for me out to 700 yd.s. I’ve been thinking about trying PRS and am trying to figure out the best value. I was thinking about either building an upper for my LR-08 or buying a bolt gun like the Howa HCR or a Bergera BMP. Banacek Posted February 27, 2018 Share Posted February 27, 2018 For the most part you will be dealing with less variables when shooting with a bolt gun. I love my AR-15 and 10, but when shooting at 600 yards, I want my Savage bolt .308 gun and soon my RPR 6.5 Creedmoor. Good choice going with 6.5 CM! If you have only traditional PRS in your area save yourself some frustration and get a bolt gun. If you also have the Gas Gun series available then decide which direction sounds more fun for you.
