VAyounggunner
Hey folks, last time I posted you guys helped a bunch, I’ve made my first 200 rounds in groups of 10 by charge weight for win 231 with XT 124gr rn, oal 1.148-1.150 (per the manual I got minimum is 3.8- max load is 4.5 for plated) my book doesn’t have lead 124 for some reason is this going to be a problem or does anyone have better data? I ordered Hornady edition 10 and Lyman’s newest. any help is greatly appreciated I know there’s a lot of exp on this forum!
Rjracing
What are your goals - for instance, is there a certain power factor you are trying to reach? Ive run this exact setup with 3.7-3.8grains before and it had trouble reaching min USPSA PF constantly. Personally, I prefer the 147gr XT RN with 3.6grains of 231 at ~1.150 OAL... Its softer shooting IMO and consistently exceeds power factor.
kipdynamite
I run 3.5 of 231 under 147 gr. TC 1.125 OAL. The Hodgdon site only shows Berry's Hollow Base 124 gr. at 3.9. and a OAL of 1.15. I'd start there. VAyounggunner
I’m going for accuracy I have a Glock 19 with Rmr and figure to run uspsa optic carry so I need to hit minor pf, but loading the 124s higher started giving me accuracy inconsistencies vs loading them with 3.9/4.0gr
