Vortex Venom

Anybody use one of these? How does the size of the window compare to the RTS2?

 

Any other need to know info or experiences would be great.

I just installed the 6moa on my M&P Pro.  I don't have any experience with the RTS2.  I do have a C-more railway installed on my PCC.  I really like the red dot.  I  have mine installed on a outerimpact dove tail mount.  I might have the slide milled to drop the dot down a little.

Age, old eyes and cross eye dominance has forced me to red dots.

I have 3 of these. 2 on PCC's and one on my Tanfo open gun. Love them. A little smaller that the RTS2. Using a 6MOA dot. Very easy to find. Lifetime warranty. After having 2 cracked C-More plastic frames rebuilt at $55 each I like the warranty.

I've had the 6 MOA frame mounted on mine for about a year.  Love it.  Had the 3 MOA, but it was a little too small for me.  Moved that one to a 45* offset sight on my rifle.

I have a Viper, the Viper has a little bigger window.

I have the Viper. Took off a C-More to put it on. I liked the fact the Viper was lower (always seemed like I had to heel the gun with the cmore to see the dot). Went with the Viper because it had the larger dot at 6 moa. I did paint a white line on the back like the Venom though. I like it better than the fastfire 2 I have. I like that you can turn it on bright and leave it bright - no photocell.

By the numbers I believe our window is smaller than the C-more, but I don't have much time behind a C-more.

I've tried the Vortex but the window is very small compared to the RTS2, I prefer the size of the RTS2

The viper I believe has a larger window than the venom. both are availiable in 3 and 6 moa dots.  I have the viper on my co gun it works just like it should.
