I got quite a lot of replacement material from Dawson also.  I Greatly prefer the Green.

Red means stop - Green means Go

Interesting thought lol. I generally pick red as i also use RMRs with red dots on other weapons (benelli M4, AR15), so a glowing red dot = go for me

Yes, fiberopticproducts.com is about $6 a meter and they send by mail so the packing and post does not eat you up.  I have a lifetime supply of green in two diameters for Dawson and Brazos sights.

Red is OK, but I am replacing it with green as the inserts get dull and dirty.

I had a piece of amber than came with a sight.  I thought it would be kind of a luminous equivalent of a gold bead but it did not show up at all well.

Another thumbs up for "fiberopticproducts.com

I've enough in stock to open a shop.

Been giving it away to pistol club mates for years.

I have a good selection of sizes and colors.

Have tested all and stuck with red and orange.

Green or orange bulk fiber from the site Cha-Lee linked.  I spent the time to cut some of the stock down into perfect sections and melted one end to speed up replacement when they get dull.

I replace them more frequently.

I use Dawson Precision, it might just be in my head but I think they are brighter than other rods I've used. I used red for my first year or so and one day I decided to give green a shot and I haven't looked back. The green is a lot brighter and really easy to pick up when shooting target focus.
