I have a lifetime supply of green in two diameters for Dawson and Brazos sights. Red is OK, but I am replacing it with green as the inserts get dull and dirty. I had a piece of amber than came with a sight. I thought it would be kind of a luminous equivalent of a gold bead but it did not show up at all well. I spent the time to cut some of the stock down into perfect sections and melted one end to speed up replacement when they get dull. I replace them more frequently. I used red for my first year or so and one day I decided to give green a shot and I haven't looked back. The green is a lot brighter and really easy to pick up when shooting target focus.
