DVC502
Thinking about switching the grip on my DVC to a metal grip. I have shot the SV grip and really like it, but also hear nothing but great things about the PT evo. I shoot CZ as well and everybody I talk to says the PT feels very similar to the CZ. I would like some personal experiences and if you have tried both even better.
speedracer08
I had a SV grip on my dvc and a PT on my edge. I have sense put a PT on my dvc. To be fair the SV was micro pockets and if it was more aggressive I would have probably left it alone.
rowdyb
as a long time cz shooter the pt grip on my 2011 felt very familiar.
pjb45
My SV grips have a very similar profile to my CZ. Go to their website for info on their grip. Also you do not have to get the micro pockets. Mine (3) do not have them.
Gooldylocks
The SV signature and PT Evo feel really close to my hands. The profile is definitely similar. ::ETA:: I have the Evo on my new gun, and it feels really nice. Edited December 18, 2017 by Gooldylocks
tcazes
pt evo all the way. absolutely love mine. best decision i have made on a gun yet. then again, take into account your skin texture. i have rough, dry, calloused, cracked, mechanic hands that always need chalk etc to get a good grip on plastic. with my pt evo i can shoot for hours at the range, multiple day matches etc and it feels great every single shot. Honkeymcgee
The main difference I have noticed is the PT has a narrower front strap while the SVI has a little nicer undercut. The contour in the back is damn near the same. I prefer the PT.
boynty77
another thing to note is that the PT grip is one piece whereas the SV grip it two pieces
GetAwayDriva
I’m confused. How is the SV grip two pieces?
arkadi
The trigger guard is a separate piece.
mscott
SV for me. Have the SV Signatire on one pistol and thought I'd try the Evo on another. Mistake for me as they are definately different. I'll likely be selling the Evo and buy another SV grip.
Shadyscott999
PT all the way. I have seen a lot of broken SV grips and Last I talked to PT they have never had a SS grip break.
pjb45
No offense, but I have never seen a SV grip break. I have had a SV for a very long time. I was at Nationals when Sandy brought one up from TX. Furthermore, I have had nothing but premier service from Infinity.
Steelix
The PT Evo fits so good in your hand, hands down best one out there.
speedracer08
The sv has better fit and finish but will also cost more. the pt feels great and has a matching back strap as well as a "pinned" beaver tail. Honestly you will be happy with either of them, my only recommendation is if you chose sv don't get micro pockets. More texture is always better. ltdmstr
Not sure if it matters to you, but PT is only available with flat mainspring housing. SV you can get flat or arched.

drivenagain
Just got an Edge, going thru this whole metal grip predicament as well, leaning towards PT.

Nugget
The pt evo feels great on my open gun. It required a bit of fitting but, not to much. The weight really sucks up some recoil and it points well.
BLT
I had Andy, a local gunsmith (https://www.facebook.com/creecustomguns/), put a PT Evo on my STI Edge and I absolutely love it. This is my first experience with a metal grip and it is MUCH better in ever way then the STI grip.
rubern
PT Evo. This grip is awesome.
