jrdoran
New STI DVC Steel owner. I've only put 100 rounds of WWB through it so far, but I'm concerned about lead and fouling of the comp. I'm not a reloader. Does anyone have experience or a point of view on using the 9mm Syntech coated ammo in the Steel open gun ?
Bdh821
Just shoot it, and enjoy!
jrdoran
Oh, I'm already having a blast as this is my first open gun. Just don't want to make my life more tedious than necessary when it comes to cleaning the compensator.
bigdawgbeav
The comp will need to be cleaned no mater what ammo you use...
CamboSoup22
I’ve heard of some people spraying Dillon case lube in the comps. Helps prevent stuff from sticking so it is easier to clean. I can’t say I’ve done it. I keep meaning to test it but keep forgetting to get a bottle of it.
Steelix
Yes spraying Dillon case lube on the comp works great. I did this on a older open gun that I had to shoot FMJ as it did not like to feed JHP.
