Brian B
I shoot IDPA with a 4.2 inch Ruger Redhawk 45 Colt/ACP using 230 ball in moonclips. It’s great fun!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Adamj
Don't overlook a Smith and Wesson 19. I have one laying around that I want to tool up and use in IDPA.
pskys2
Shot a local IDPA match last Sunday with a Thunder Ranch 325, IWB and USPSA Major PF loads (200 raniers at 860 f/s) of the 19 competitors the only who beat me overall were shooting provisional divisions 2 PCC and 1 CO. On a short 6 shot speed course only 2 PCC's, on one field course only 1 PCC. Fumbled the 1st field course reloads, had to look to find them on the belt! Only got 1 PE, for not engaging tactically (USPSA mode kicked in on a reshoot!) After that all went pretty good. No more than 6 shots at a position helped, might have to play a bit more next year. Do a bit more reload work could go with a lighter bullet 185 at 840 f/s, keeps the velocity close to carry loads. I finally got the cylinder back from the shop and fired 60 rounds on 8 inch steel plates today. I think the accuracy did not change enough for me to notice. It (GP-100) felt really good with the 9 mm ammo. Best decision I have made this year concerning gear. I have a 686 with Comp III loaders for sanction matches just in case:)
