Aircooled6racer
Hello: I can weight my Sig MPX 16" setup. My AR9mm are lighter for sure. The JP's I have shot all feel front heavy to me. Changing the hand guard would solve that. Thanks, Eric Link to comment
L9X25
Sig claims 7.6 lbs and JP claims 6.7 lbs. Link to comment
Mike41
Thanks. Are there lighter hand guards for the MPX or other components to lighten it? Link to comment
L9X25
Taccom just came out with some light weight components for them. Link to comment
BigBamBoo
Taccom makes some light weight parts for the MPX: https://taccom3g.com/product/taccom-mpx-handguard/ https://taccom3g.com/product/sig-mpx-ulw-barrel-and-handguard/ Link to comment
noexcuses
one of the guys at Saturdays match had one of these Taccom ported barrels, seemed to run very flat. https://taccom3g.com/product/sig-mpx-ulw-barrel-and-handguard/ Link to comment
Neomet
I have an MPX with an ILWT pencil barrel and CF handguard that weighs in at just under 6lbs with optic. From handling the JP I will say that to me at least a fair amount of the weight feels like it is in the barrel/handguard. Nothing empirical, just how it feels to me. Link to comment
TISCHLJ
Check the Isler carbon fiber handguard also. Link to comment
Mike41
How much weight savings is the Isler? what is the preferred length for the factory 16" barrel? Link to comment
