9x45
Yea, Production Division has the most rules....... 21.6 Exchange of minor EXTERNAL components Sights, firing pins, firing pin retainers, pins, extractors and ejectors MAY be replaced with OFM or aftermarket parts. Any other components which are externally visible may ONLY be replaced with OFM parts which are offered on the specific model of gun or another approved gun from the same manufacturer except as specifically clarified below. IronArcher
Even in IPSC?
JAFO
As I understand it, IPSC is more restrictive than USPSA when it comes to modifying in Production.
racerba
You can't change anything in IPSC except for sights and adding grip tape...and there's a limit of how much grip tape you can use also. You can't even use aftermarket springs, even if they are the same weight springs by the same manufacturer that the pistol got their OEM springs from... 9x45
Well, IPSC likes lots of rules, but we don't shoot IPSC in the US...

The more-couth among us refer to them as "Grip Plug Frame Inserts", but "Butt Plug" is so much easier to say. (Everybody who knows me knows that I am not "couth" by a far sight. I am just offering my translation services.) Edited November 11, 2017 by Braxton1
