dsa
Bummer, glad I got to shoot it once before it closed.
jripper
I hadn't shot it since it became the nationals. Was going to try to do it this year. Bummer. I think shot a bunch of them early on, before SS was a USPSA division. It was fun, and inventive. The early matches were using USPSA guidelines, but since it was not a sanctioned match, they could do some things that were not legal in USPSA, like shooting with pick up guns and such. I vividly remember a stage called Tank Commander, where they had a moveable tube in a wall. All shots had to be fired through the tube. All steel stage. BritinUSA
They had the tubes on an all steel stage in 2012. Not sure if they had used them before.
RIIID
It was the best shooting skills match we had. Rich
anbrumm
Was looking forward to shooting this match this year. Hopefully something similar will happen again.
WidowsSon683
There has been talk of restarting that match at area 59 in rosenberg, tx undrr a new but similar name. They just started having single stack only matches in january, and the match directors generally come up with some great stage designs. I shot the inaugural ss club match and it was good. Distant Thunder
Nice to know a match in the tradition of the Single Stack Classic is continuing. Unfortunately, continuing health problems prevented me from signing up this year. I hope this match will continue for years to come. I'd love to get back out on the range at PASA with a 1911. JGus
It was a really fun match. Hadn't shot SS in a few years. Felt good to break out the Canyon Creek .40. Brian and his crew put on a great match.

ima45dv8
If anyone finds the listing for that event, please start a new, current thread on it. This one is 2-1/2 years old. Thanks... Closed.
