TheSandMan491
Happy to announce that planning is officially underway for the 2018 Illinois Sectional. Ryan and I have decided to tackle the event once again. Location will once again be Havana, IL and the match is scheduled for August 10th - 12th, 2018 with staff shooting on Friday the 10th. The match will be predominantly shot in a full day format with some split day offerings. Additionally, Friday (staff shoot day) will have competitor registration offerings for schedule flexibility. I'm also happy to announce that we already have our Title Sponsor. Thank you Stephen Stewart of C.I. Shooting Sports (CISS). CISS was a stage sponsor for the 2017 Sectional and when presented with the opportunity to sponsor the 2018 Sectional, they jumped immediately onboard. It really is a great facility, with a good selection of USPSA oriented items and friendly staff. CISS also hosts weekly indoor USPSA matches on Tuesday nights. (http://cishootingsports.com) More announcements and sponsorships to follow and we'll keep you all posted as necessary with any match updates. Thanks for coming in 2017 if you made it. Hope to see you all again in 2018. TheSandMan491
We hit 100 registrations this afternoon. Each 100 registrants, we're giving away a Hundo case gauge. After random draw, the first Hundo winner is...Bruce Carby. Congrats Bruce. I'll be emailing you to determine caliber of choice. A lot more to come. Sponsors have been amazing. All stages are sponsored, and we have about 9 match sponsors as well. Looking forward to passing on their contributions to our registered participants. Thanks everyone! TheSandMan491
Another great sponsor donating a firearm to the match. Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. is one of the nation's leading manufacturers of rugged, reliable firearms for the commercial sporting market. Last year, they donated tons of gear, knives and apparel to the match. This year, they return as both match and stage sponsors and are donating a SR1911 Model 6736 45 Auto. It's a classic, original 1911 Series 70 design including two mags. TheSandMan491
Free entry into the match! ...Our sponsors are the best. XS Sights is not only donating three gift certificates, each good for one set of sights up to $215.00, but they are also offering their sponsor slot to one lucky Junior, Lady, Law Enforcement, or Military shooter with their compliments. To include all those that have already registered, the match will randomly select an individual at the match and issue a cash reimbursement of the entry fee that they would have already paid during the match registration process. Thanks XSSights!

TheSandMan491
We're only a few registrations away from hitting the 200 mark. That means it's almost time to give away another Hundo to a paid registrant. Stage sponsor Ben Stoeger Pro Shop is giving us a great deal on them and we're happy to pass on to our attendees. They'll also be contributing a lot of other great items to competitors attending the match.Stages are determined and in the final stages of drafting and will be getting submitted for review by USPSA soon. Looking to be 12 stages plus chrono, in excess of a 300 round count. Thanks everyone!
TheSandMan491
Only 82 slots left in the match with two months to go. Matchbook drafted. Some things may get tweaked over time however, the following link should always point to the latest version. Thanks to all the sponsors for donating items, staff for volunteering your time, knowledge and expertise, and to the competitors for registering and giving us all an opportunity to challenge your abilities. See you there! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-hpFGv72WVAUMivVFsC8t_yiocakcjb-/view?usp=sharing
TheSandMan491
Happy to announce yet another sponsor of the match. Kita Busse, movement coach at 180 Firearms Training is contributing two class certificates valued at $350-400 each. Also, if her publication schedule stays on track, we'll have several copies of her book "Smart Move" as well. With time being the denominator in calculating hit factor, efficiency in movement can result in huge gains. This is a great resource and opportunity for shooters to utilize. Thanks Kita!
